In late August, our local taxi company stopped operating in Kimberley, BC. Locals and visitors alike have been hoping that L&K Taxi would be back in service by the time the lift started spinning and ski season was rolling (spoiler, it's not). A tourism-dependent town without a taxi is not a super good scenario for our visitors looking to move safely around this holiday season.
However, three options exist as outlined below:

Plan a designated driver for your night out.
Simply Kimberley has committed to putting one of our vans and drivers on each night during the Dec 24-31, 2022 busy holiday period. Our BC Passenger Transportation license allows us to operate private charters under our Special Authorization (limo license) and our General Authorization licenses.
Our van and driver is available to safely move our visitors and locals around town to help support our tourism product including our pubs, restaurants and shops. We'll be using our 11 and/or our 14-passenger Transit vans and be trying our best to help move groups safely to/from the ski hill or residences. We know it will be busy and we'll do our best to get your group to/from your accommodation each night. We recommend pre-booking your charter directly with the driver on call. Having patience will go a long way.
